Research Interests

I am an aquatic biogeochemist. I work in marine and freshwater systems with special emphasis on low-oxygen environments and human impacts on natural systems. I am particularly interested in the biogeochemical cycling of nitrogen. I use stable isotopes of various nitrogen, carbon, oxygen, and sulfur species in my research to understand sources and transformation pathways.
