Research Interests

Dr. Emily Woodward is a Research Physical Scientist with the U.S. Geological Survey Pennsylvania Water Science Center. She also serves in an Adjunct Faculty role in the Department of Geology and Environmental Science. I'm interested in the fate and transport of organic contaminants in the environment (surface water, groundwater, and soil). My research focuses on a range of contaminants (nutrients, pesticides, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, among others), and I work in both urban and agricultural settings.
