Research Interests
My research interests revolve around understanding biogeochemical cycling and ecosystem functioning both on the land and in the ocean. I integrate field observations, advanced analytical techniques and process studies to investigate nitrogen and carbon dynamics in natural and anthropogenically perturbed aquatic environments and their feedback to the climate system through production and consumption of greenhouse gases. Ultimately, I aim to generate knowledge to support restoration, conservation strategies and environmental sustainability in vulnerable aquatic ecosystems. (Key Words: Aquatic biogeochemistry, Sedimentary Processes, Greenhouse gas fluxes)
